I like wine. I drink a glass or two almost every day. There are very few things that I find most relaxing and enjoyable sit overnight after a long day of work and the opening of a bottle of one of my favorite wines. Any tension in my shoulders, evaporates any persistent effort day filters from my body. My mind calm and I can take a deep breath and let all my cares just disappear and I lose the glass before me.
I want to understand how it is easy to get lost in a glass of wine. I'm not talking about water bottle after bottle until you are smashed. I'm talking about becoming absorbed in all flavors and fragrances that wine is hidden from us. I spend an incredible amount of time trying to order a flavor from another and trying to figure out what is hiding.
It is a very pleasant experience, but there is a problem with it. A very big problem actually. Wine is not cheap. Of course there are cheap bottles of wine out there. Those that you can get for under $ 10. I came across a bottle of $ 5 very good wine that was being sold at a huge discount because vineyard had produces too much of it, but in general the average price to pay for the wine falls somewhere in the range $ 10-$ 15.
I know that those not seem excessively high numbers, but consider this: a bottle of wine has about 4-5 glasses full in it. This means that drinking 2 glasses every night that I'm going primarily through 1 bottle every 2 days. In terms of dollars and cents which means my drinking wine daily costs me about $ 52 each week. Personally I think is a pretty big spending.
So this I wonder if there was via taken could reduce costs my wine without actually cutting the amount of wine that I drink every week down ... and for those of you who think I should just stop drinking wine, consider this: living people who drink regularly out those who do not drink at all from an average of 5 years. A small reflection ... In any case I came to the conclusion was that just should try to make my table wine.
What I found is that the house wine is incredibly easy, it's pretty cheap and can be very funny. I personally believe that this was a great compromise between allowing myself to drink a few glasses every night while not busting my bank account.
