How to make wine from grapes-three period fermentation process

To make your own wine at home, you're going to need some help to make wine education, equipment, ingredients and recipes but we start by learning the basic process of vinification.

Three-fermentation process

Extract the juice from the grape pressing, soaking or crushing them
Add sugar, spices and yeast
Transfer into a bottle, vase, bucket or pail and coverage
Store at room temperature for at least a week to allow for the first period fermentation
Drain the liquid from the meat and pour the liquid back into the container, discarding the pulp
Cover and leave a second period fermentation for several weeks, but no more than 8 weeks
Repeat the process of straining and ferment for a third period 3-8 weeks, or until the wine has a light appearance
Bottle of house wine
If the wine is not to your liking, let age several months and taste it again
Recipes and Wine Making Guide

Now that you understand the basic process, you're going to need more details, including recipes, to get started.

We recommend the purchase of a basic guide for wine help you through the first few batches. Most of them include easy recipes of winemaking and are perfect for anyone learning to make the wine grapes.

Wine equipment Kit

In addition to making wine Guide and recipes, you also need equipment to make wine. You can easily find kits that include all the necessary equipment, such as demijohns (large bottle fermentation), filler and corks.

All of these parts can be purchased separately, but if you are just starting out, buying a wine equipment kit is a smart investment and we believe, more convenient option.

Winemaking ingredients Kit

After purchasing the Guide and the basic equipment, you can choose to use the right ingredients (grapes, sugar, spices, yeast ...) or you can buy a kit to make specific types of wine, Chardonnay and Shiraz.

If you're new to wine, you may find that using an ingredients kit is a good way to start.

Once you feel comfortable vinification of grapes, using the right ingredients or a kit of ingredients, you can start to experiment with different flavoured wines such as cherry or apple wine.

Learn how to make wine is not only fun, but can be very profitable. A game usually makes it 6 or 7 bottles and depending on the ingredients, cost about 49 cents per bottle to make. If we consider that the average cost of a bottle of wine runs between $ 10 and $ 15, the savings can really add up.
